The
order of the themes for the weeks in this Advent reflection are based
on this saying I have heard as I have returned to Appalachia:
It is in
a quiet moment of Peace
that Hope is born
that Joy springs forth
and that
Love is freed.
The
title of the reflections this year is Readying Ourselves to Receive
and the writings here proclaim the wisdom of contemplation, the
presence of God on Earth, and thoughts on preparation for the coming
of the Light.
This
year’s Advent season is short – December 3 through 24. In this
set of reflections, 18 oblates and 4 sisters share their experience
and wisdom with Peace, Hope, Joy, and Love. May the writings here
free your heart to share the Light.
With grateful hearts we
offer these writings and reflections to the Glory of God in pursuit
of peace,
and in gratitude to our extended family of SSJD Associates, Oblates, and many friends, with us in fellowship on our paths.
